People in Kurdistan Region celebrate traditional clothing day
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – March 10 of every year marks a prestigious day where people in the Kurdistan Region celebrate the history of traditional Kurdish clothing by wearing their customary suits and dresses.
The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Education introduced the national event in 2010.

This day is not only celebrated by Kurds but also other components and foreigners across the Kurdistan Region.

Meanwhile, Iraqi security forces prevented Kurdish students from celebrating the national clothing day at a University in Kirkuk.
According to the letter issued by Kirkuk University, administrators asked security forces to prevent anyone wearing Kurdish clothes from entering the campus.
