ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Education has announced several decisions and guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of the 12th grade examination process across all departments.

On Thursday, the Ministry emphasized that supervisors, directors, assistants, and observers must provide a suitable environment for students during the exams. Any harassment of teachers performing their duties, as stipulated by the Education Law in the Kurdistan Region, will be treated as an offense against a state employee.

The Ministry has prohibited bringing any electronic devices into examination centers. This ban extends to supervisors, directors, assistants, and observers, who are also not allowed to bring smartphones into the examination halls.

Students will be required to return exam questions upon completing their exams, and supervising teachers must collect all the questions.

Each student's questions must bear their full name, and any exam paper not accompanied by the returned questions will not be counted.

Students will be checked for electronic devices before entering the examination hall; possession of such devices will be considered academic dishonesty and cheating.

Additionally, the Ministry stated that taking pictures of exam questions before or after the exam and posting them on social media is strictly prohibited.

On Wednesday, June 12, Nooraddin Osman, Director General of Examinations at the Ministry of Education, informed Kurdistan24 that all preparations for the 12th grade examinations in scientific, literary, and vocational departments have been completed.

To ensure a successful examination process, the Ministry is coordinating with the Ministry of Transport and Communication, the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Asayish, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Electricity.
