Ministry of Electricity launches Test Plan service to supply electricity for 24/7
Erbil (Kurdistan 24) – In an announcement on July 25th, the Ministry of Electricity at the Kurdistan Regional Government is pleased to launch its Test Plan service about supplying state electricity for 24 hours and 7 days per week. The plan, as a start, serves Shadi Avenue zone that locates in the southwest of Erbil the capital city.
Supplying the state electricity power as a 24/7 service has been an unenviable challenge to the public in Kurdistan Region, especially in the summer season.
This plan by the ministry is experimental, it is going to be under their dominant supervision as a project. Cooperating with the private generators in that area is required as a part of the plan, and that is only when there is a potential cut off in the state power.
Having a backup plan is to assist the residents in that place to have continuous electricity all the time.
Each one of locals and every business will receive a single bill per month, to show the rate and consumption, also a mobile phone text will be included as another part of the service, which is to enable customers to track and manage their electricity usage.
It is estimated that there are 2000 service users in Shady area.
The Test Plan service from the government is to better understand the residents’ requirements and requests for electricity.
As a result, the government will be capable of supplying electricity for 24/7 sufficiently and effectively to the whole region of Kurdistan.
