King Abdullah II of Jordan decreed house of representative dissolution

The Jordanian House of Representatives was an elected lower house of the Jordanian parliament. Along with the Senate, was part of the legislation establishing in Jordan.

Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - King Abdullah II of Jordan decreed on Thursday that the House of Representatives must ceases to exist with an immediate order to take place from July 25th, 2024.

According to statement by the Royal Hashemite Court the dissolution of the House of Representatives preceded the parliamentary election that was supposed to be held on September 10th this year.

As understood the last election the House of Representatives was held in November 2020.

The Jordanian House of Representatives was and elected lower house of the Jordanian parliament. Along with the Senate, was part of the legislation establishing in Jordan.

It was consisted of 65 members, were appointed by the king through a royal decree, by law of the constitution of Jordan.
