Kurds celebrate Newroz in Washington
WASHINGTON, United States (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan was among 21 other countries represented at the 2016 Nowruz Commission event in Washington DC. The sixth annual gala event included an alliance of more than 12 cultures who celebrate Newroz to mark the first day of spring and the beginning of a new year.
The Nowruz Commission is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of care and compassion embedded in the philosophy in the ancient rites of Newroz.
