Ivanka Trump surprised at ‘viciousness’ of father’s presidency

WASHINGTON DC, United States (Kurdistan24) – Ivanka Trump on Monday said the level of “viciousness” of her father Donald Trump’s presidency had surprised her.

“There is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting, I was not expecting the intensity of this experience,” she said on a Fox News segment.

“I think some of the distractions and some of the ferocity was—I was a little blindsided by on a personal level,” she continued.

Ivanka, an aide in President Trump’s administration, did not go into detail about which events instigated her response.

She highlighted her understanding regarding the challenges of her new political role, and said she would focus on “advancing her father’s jobs agenda.”

“My father and this administration intends to be transformative, and we want to do big bold things, and we’re looking to change the status quo,” Ivanka explained.

The President’s aide also mentioned her father’s recent trip to the Middle East where he met several Arab leaders, urging them to “collectively join to stop funding terrorism.”

“It was amazing the leadership my father showed, the way he was able to foster real dialogue, substantive dialogue,” Ivanka stated.

Following President Trump’s visit to the Middle East, several Gulf Arab nations led by Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism.

Qatar denied the claims made against it, labeling the decision from its neighboring countries to cut ties “unjustified” and with “no basis in fact.”

After initially voicing his support for the Saudi-led embargo on Qatar, President Trump said the disputing nations should solve the conflict through dialogue.
