WATCH: Ronaldo scores wonder goal in 3-0 Real Madrid win

The Real Madrid forward, considered by many as the best player in the world, scored a sublime bicycle-kick in his team's 3-0 win in the Champions League.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Cristiano Ronaldo scored a wonder goal for Real Madrid in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first-leg tie against Juventus in Turin, Italy.

Ronaldo had opened the scoring in the third minute after good work from midfielder Isco to get the ball to his teammate. The Portuguese made no mistake, drilling the ball past a diving Gianluigi Buffon in Juve’s goal.

The Real Madrid forward, considered by many as the best player in the world, added a second goal in the second-half, scoring a sublime bicycle-kick to put his team 2-0 up.

The Juventus defense and goalkeeper were left rooted and could only watch as Ronaldo executed his finish acrobatically.

Juventus had a player sent off when Paulo Dybala received his marching orders for a dangerous tackle on Daniel Carvajal—his second yellow-card offense of the match. He was booked in the first-half for diving.

Real Madrid added a third through defender Marcelo and also hit the post on a couple of occasions. They will take a commanding lead into the second-leg of the quarterfinal tie in Spain on April 11.

The Spanish side’s captain, Sergio Ramos, applauded Ronaldo and said he hopes the Portuguese star “can continue like this for the remainder of the season.”

Ronaldo is on course to break another Champions League record for most goals scored in a single season, set by himself in 2013/14 when he scored 17 goals. He has 14 in this campaign.

Meanwhile, in the other quarterfinal first-leg, Spanish side Sevilla hosted German giants Bayern Munich at the Estadio R. Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

Despite losing 2-1, the Spanish club will be encouraged going into the return leg having opened the scoring in the game.

Bayern was dominant but scored their first goal somewhat fortuitously as Sevilla’s Jesus Navas directed the ball into his own net from a Franck Ribery shot.

Bayern’s second goal was awarded to Thiago Alcantara, but replays showed the ball had hit a Sevilla player before going in the net. The second-leg will be played on April 11 in Munich.

There’s more Champions League action on Wednesday as Premier League leaders Manchester City travel to Liverpool to take on Mohamad Salah and co. while Barcelona takes on Italian side Roma at home.

The games will kick-off at 9:45 p.m. Erbil time.
