ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The United States-led coalition against ISIS announced on Thursday that it has transferred several pallets of defensive barriers along with hundreds of coils of razor wire to the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF).

“As part of our #AdviseAssistEnable mission, recently we transferred dozens of pallets of defensive barriers & hundreds of coils of razor wire to our #ISF partners in support of their ongoing efforts to reinforce stability & ensure Daesh (ISIS) lasting defeat,” the official account of the coalition tweeted.

On Jan. 20, the coalition tweeted that it had recently transferred 250 pallets of propellant and artillery ammunition to the ISF “to increase its durability, survivability, & lethality & reaffirm our shared resolve to deal Daesh a lasting defeat.”

As part of its continued efforts to combat ISIS in both Iraq and Syria, the coalition regularly supplies arms and equipment to the ISF, the Kurdish Peshmerga, and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

In recent months, the coalition delivered hundreds of Humvees and trucks to the Ministry of Peshmerga along with bulldozers to help the Kurdish forces fortify their defensive positions against ISIS.
