ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Kurdish artist and academic Hama Hashim published a book about Italian sculptor and painter Michelangelo. The book is divided into several parts, each dealing with a different aspect of the artist's life.

Considered one of the great Renaissance artists, Michaelangelo is largely credited with the cultural and artistic style of the 15th and 16th Centuries.

The book is the result of Hashim’s journey to Italy, where he learned about the history of Michelangelo's sculptures, in addition to his techniques and materials available at the time.

The book also addresses Michelangelo's social demeanor and delves into some research that he may have suffered from autism spectrum disorder.

Michelangelo's personal life was expressed through his poetry, including 300 poems left behind and later published by his brother. Although Michelangelo was a painter, poet, theatrician, architectural engineer, and sculptor, he wished to be known only as a sculptor despite having been a pioneer in all of these fields.

Hashim’s previous publications in the field of painting include ‘Sacred Art’, ‘Rodan’, and ‘Vincent van Gogh's Letters’.

He was born in 1973 in Koya. He graduated from the Department of Painting at the Erbil Institute of Fine Arts, and he is currently working there as a teacher.
