Citizens of more than 53 countries could visit Kurdistan Region without visa, says KRG Media and Information Department

Having their passports with them while traveling to and arriving at Kurdistan Region, these citizens could enter the region without having to have a visa.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The citizens of more than 53 countries could travel to the Kurdistan Region only by having their passports with them and without acquiring a visa. This comes as part of an announcement by the Department of Media and Information of Kurdistan Region which refers to a circular of the Ministry of Interior of Kurdistan Region.

Having only their passports with them while traveling to and arriving at Kurdistan Region, these citizens could enter the region without having to have a prior visa.

The list of these countries is: the US, the UK, China, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Canada, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Iran, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungry, Albania, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Lebanon, Vatican, Lichtenstein, Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain and Jordan.

In the circular from the Ministry of Interior of Kurdistan Region, it is emphasized that the citizens of the mentioned countries must make certain that their passports have six month validity from the time of their arrival to Kurdistan Region.
