Kurdistan Region President meets Minister of National Defense of Turkey

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On Saturday and amid the second day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Kurdistan Region’s President Nechirvan Barzani had discussions with Minister of National Defense of Turkey Yaşar Güler in Antalya, Turkey.

President Barzani and Minister of National Defense of Turkey emphasized the importance of maintaining and expanding the existing ties between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

The recent developments of the region, security-related issues, as well as the enduring threat of terrorism were also part of the discussions.

During the meeting, they expressed their agreement over the importance of protecting the peace and stability of the region and expanding the efforts to deescalate the tensions and preventing the spread of conflict within the region.

President Nechirvan Barzani arrived in Antalya, Turkey, on Friday, where he will attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).

Over the course of the three-day conference, the President will engage in a series of meetings, focusing on the discussion of international relations and the situation in the wider region.

The participants of the conference will delve into a wide range of topics, including war, terrorism, migration, the impact of climate change, natural disasters, and numerous other pressing issues.

The discussions aim to foster a comprehensive understanding of these matters and explore potential solutions.
