ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Marie-Christine Oghly, Vice Chair of Paris Ile de France Chamber of Commerce, on Monday told Kurdistan24 correspondent Barzan Hassan that “I'm sure that we can have some interest from our companies to do business in that region [Kurdistan Region].”

“We are really waiting for this event in May to bring together some French companies with the delegation from the Kurdish region,” Oghly added.

She also said that if the representatives of the Kurdish Chamber of Commerce are coming in May, they can have a special discussion to see how they could integrate with the World Chambers Federation (WCF).

“It would be a big advantage for them to have to use the platform and also to have links to other chambers in the world. It's really a network to put all world chambers together,” she concluded.

Earlier, Mohammed Shukri, the Chairman of the Kurdistan Board of Investment, told Kurdistan24 that "preparations are underway for an economic forum between French and Kurdish companies in Paris, scheduled to take place on May 21st this year."
