Kurdish counter-terrorism arrests IS suicide bomber

Kurdistan counter-terrorism arrested one of the Islamic State (IS) suicide bombers on March 13 who participated in the attack on Peshmerga west frontline in Kirkuk Province.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan counter-terrorism arrested one of the Islamic State (IS) suicide bombers on March 13 who participated in the attack on Peshmerga west frontline in Kirkuk Province.

Following a military operation in Kirkuk, Kurdish counter-terrorism forces, who are part of the Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC), arrested Mohammed Yassin Muhsin, an IS member. Muhsin was one of the supervisors of IS' suicide attack on a Peshmerga frontline in western Kirkuk on March 12.

In the attack, four suicide bombers were directed to the frontline, but Peshmerga repelled the attack and killed all the suicide bombers before they reached the base.
