At 93, Murdoch ties the knot for the fifth time

Erbil (Kurdistan24) – Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 93, has married for the fifth time, tying the knot with 67-year-old retired molecular biologist Elena Zhukova. The wedding took place on Saturday at Murdoch's vineyard, Moraga, in California.

Photos published by The Sun, a British newspaper owned by Murdoch, show the couple beaming with joy. Murdoch donned a black suit and yellow tie, while Zhukova wore a white off-the-shoulder dress and held a bouquet of tulips.

Among the guests at the wedding were Robert Kraft, the 82-year-old owner of the New England Patriots football team, and his wife, Dana Blumberg, aged 50.

Murdoch's personal life has frequently made headlines, often featured in the tabloids he helped establish across three continents.

His previous marriages include model Jerry Hall, former partner of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, and he was briefly engaged to broadcaster Ann Lesley Smith last year, although the wedding was called off less than a month before the planned date.

Elena Zhukova, who emigrated to the United States from Russia, is a retired molecular biologist. Her daughter, Dasha Zhukova, is an arts patron and entrepreneur who was previously married to Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.

Murdoch, a father of six, has had a series of high-profile marriages. His first marriage to Patricia Booker, an Australian air hostess, ended in the late 1960s. He was then married to newspaper reporter Anna Torv for over 30 years before divorcing in 1999. His third marriage to Wendi Deng ended in 2013.

Born in Australia, Murdoch's media empire includes influential outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and Fox News Channel. According to Forbes, Murdoch and his family have a net worth of approximately $20 billion.

Last November, Murdoch handed over management of his global media empire to his son, Lachlan, moving into an honorary position.
