ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Iraq started to accept the appeals regarding the results of parliamentary general election. on Thursday.
IHEC announced on Wednesday October 30th, 2024 in a press conference for the political parties to submit appeals against the results of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament general election.

For any candidates who is not satisfied with the results can appeal the results within the specified period which only lasts 3 working days.
According to the IHEC, the commission will open the door for appealing the final election results starting today Thursday until next Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Based on the procedures and rules, the deadline for receiving appeal memoranda is only three days, and since tomorrow is an official holiday, the Commission has decided to accept the parties' objections until the end of the official working period on Sunday.
The IHEC announced in the conference to the press that the final results of the Parliamentary general elections in Kurdistan Region, went successful, they praised the discipline, professionalism, and transparency that characterized the electoral process in the region.
The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners said at the conference while announcing the final results of the parliamentary general election in Kurdistan Region “the Commission had taken a series of measures and actions to ensure the integrity of the elections and a safe atmosphere, we worked diligently to accomplish this national mission.”
