ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Board Chairman of Commissioners at the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), Omar Ahmed said “the commission conducted the process transparently and thanked the employees, security forces and all voters. He also congratulated the winning lists and the graduating candidates.
Based on IHEC’s announcement, the measures to ensure that the elections are held in a transparent, clean and peaceful atmosphere were taken on an d confirmed by Judge Omar Ahmed, the Board Chairman of the commission.

Omar Ahmed confirmed that 41000 employees participated in the voting process, more than 1.800 international observers, consulates, Arab League monitored the process, and more than 10.000 local observers participated in the election process.
The preliminary results were announced 24 hours after the end of the election process, accordingly to the rule of law and constitution, was conducted,” Ahmed said “all the complaints were reviewed by the commission”
