ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Fully sponsored by Kurdistan 24, the fifth Middle East Peace and Security Forum (MEPS24) began on November 22nd at the American University of Kurdistan (AUK) in Duhok, and successfully ended on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024.
124 academics from 40 different countries and a number of party and government officials from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq
The Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani participated in the Questions-Answers debate session presented by Ms. Gamble.

At the end of the last day of that annual forum, Dr. Issa, the Director General of MEPS2024, gave his final speech:
“We are honored that MEPS24, once again, exceeded our expectations.
We look forward to holding the forum every year, to discuss the important issues in depth, to tackle the problems to unite all intellectuals.
Basically, we hope to create a society that works enthusiastically, and all the participants return to Duhok again.
Thank you very much to the Kurdistan leadership for having a beautiful history of developing regional relations to connect the differences.
And to reduce the gaps which will be in the interest of humanity, with having the unity, diversity and acceptance of the different views.

The Director General of MEPS2024 thanked Prime Minister Masrour Barzani as the Chairman of the Trustees at the University on their support and supervision of that annual forum.
Moreover, Dr Issa thanked the Kurdistan 24 media network, also all those who helped to support and make the forum succeeded.
He highlighted that they were accompanied by academic companions, such as Harvard University and the Middle East Initiative, the University of Cambridge and other highly recognized establishments.
