Kurdistan PM Offers Condolences Following Tragic Incident in Iran's Bandar Abbas

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Masrour Barzani, offered his heartfelt condolences following the tragic incident in Bandar Abbas, Iran, which has resulted in major casualties.
In his message, PM Barzani expressed his sympathy for the victims and their families, while wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
"We extend our condolences and sympathy to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, as well as to the families and victims of the Bandar Abbas explosion," PM Barzani stated, adding, "We wish a speedy recovery to the injured. May the Almighty grant paradise to those who lost their lives, and bestow patience and comfort upon their families."
The Prime Minister concluded his condolence message by stating, "In this tragic incident, we express our solidarity and sympathy with the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
The explosion in Bandar Abbas, which occurred in the early hours of April 26, has shaken the southern Iranian port city. According to reports from Iranian authorities and other international media outlets, at least 25 people have been confirmed dead, with more than 800 injured.
Prime Minister Barzani’s message emphasizes that the KRG stands in solidarity with neighboring nations during difficult times. While the KRG consistently commits to fostering good relations with its neighbors, Barzani’s statement highlights regional solidarity and shared empathy in the face of tragedy.
