Iran Threatens Forceful Response If Israel Violates Ceasefire

“Iran holds no trust in Israel, and any minor mistake or violation of the ceasefire will be met with a unified and regretful response,” the council said in a statement. It further asserted that “the Israelis have been forced into accepting the ceasefire.”

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced Tuesday that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to deliver a strong response if Israel launches any attack on Iranian territory.

The statement came just minutes after Israeli media reported that Iran had allegedly violated the ceasefire by launching missiles. In response, the Iranian council denied the claims and accused Israeli media of misinformation.

“Iran holds no trust in Israel, and any minor mistake or violation of the ceasefire will be met with a unified and regretful response,” the council said in a statement. It further asserted that “the Israelis have been forced into accepting the ceasefire.”

Tensions have remained high since the outbreak of direct hostilities between Iran and Israel nearly two weeks ago. Late Monday night, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that both sides had agreed to a ceasefire.

While both Iran and Israel had indicated initial acceptance of the ceasefire terms, uncertainty and accusations have persisted. Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated he had instructed the military to respond harshly if Iran breached the ceasefire.

With the ceasefire hanging in the balance, Iran’s highest security body made it clear that any perceived aggression would not go unanswered — reinforcing the fragile and volatile nature of the current calm.
