ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Thursday congratulated members of the Yezidi (Ezidi) community on the occasion of the religious group's Festival of Fasting (Cejna rojîyê), also known as the Fast of Yezidi.

“I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to the Ezidi community in Kurdistan and beyond. May this festive season bring joy, happiness, peace, and prosperity.

“During these days, as the Ezidi community gathers for celebrations, I commend the efforts of the Kurdistan Regional Government in addressing the needs of the Ezidi community.”

“The government continues to work diligently to facilitate the return of displaced individuals to Shingal (Sinjar), overcome the challenges, and provide essential services for the well-being and happiness of the Ezidi people.”

Moreover, Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani congratulated the Yezidis on their Fast of Yezidi, emphasizing the significance of religious coexistence among diverse faiths in the Kurdistan Region
