KDP President Masoud Barzani receives the head of al-Mada Foundation

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Iraq, as well as the obstacles to stability, unity, and collaboration among Iraqis.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani on Tuesday received Fakhri Karim, the head of the al-Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and Arts, in Erbil’s Pirmam district, according to a statement from the Barzani Headquarters. 

KDP President Barzani condemned Karim's assassination attempt in Baghdad last month and wished him good health. He also hoped he would continue to serve the cultural affairs of Iraq.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Iraq, as well as the obstacles to stability, unity, and collaboration among Iraqis.

On the evening of Feb 22, Karim survived an assassination attempt in Baghdad.

Several entities within the Al Mada Group are Al-Mada TV Satellite Channel, Radio Station, Press Agency, Al-Mada Newspaper, Zamwa Advertising Agency, Al-Khoyol Advertising Agency, Nargis Magazine, Sports Dialogue Magazine, Nahar Al-Madynah for Telecommunications, and Al-Mada Library. There are approximately 500 employees in seven different cities.
