'We want to build friendship with Kurds'

WASHINGTON, United States (Kurdistan24) – Gur Johnson, Member of Parliament in Canada, discuss the newly founded “Parliamentary Friends of the Kurds” initiative in the Canadian Parliament.

Johnson explains that the initiative is meant to foster a stronger relationship with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Kurds, as well as creating friendship.

The Canadian MP and several other representatives from Parliament met with KRG representative Bayan Sami Rahman in Washington to discuss ways that Canada can get involved with the Kurdish community.

Johnson expressed the desire of Canada to pull together some "diversity" and get all politcal parties in the country involved.
