ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The targeting of political parties and their leaderships in Iraq is unacceptable, Britain's Ambassador to Iraq Mark Bryson-Richardson said on Monday.

"The targeting of political parties and their leaderships, business, and most recently, Baghdad International Airport is completely unacceptable," Bryson-Richardson tweeted. "Those responsible should be held to account."

The Ambassador expressed his concern for "the recent rise in violent incidents across Iraq affecting communities throughout the country."

Bryson-Richardson also expressed his country's support to Iraq's effort to counter the ISIS threat and called for the peaceful formation of the new government.
