ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – ISIS on Thursday officially took responsibility for Wednesday’s attack in Kerman, Iran, that killed at least 84 people and wounded another 284.

The group said the attack was carried out by two suicide bombers.

ISIS targeted a ceremony honoring Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a US drone strike in 2020 in Baghdad.

The IRNA state news agency earlier also reported that surveillance footage showed that a male suicide bomber detonated explosives during the ceremony.
