PM Masrour Barzani Vows Unwavering Support for Women's Legitimate Demands in Pursuit of Free, Healthy Society

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Friday in a statement reiterated his government's strong and ongoing support for women’s rights in honor of International Women’s Day.

Extending his “warmest congratulations” to the women of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the world on this occasion, PM Barzani stated the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) “firm support” for women’s legitimate demands and rights.

In the statement, PM Barzani highlighted that supporting the legitimate demands and rights of women garners a free and healthy society.

“On this occasion, the Kurdistan Regional Government reaffirms its commitment to protect the rights of Kurdistan’s women, improve their living conditions, strengthen their position in the spheres of power and governance and strengthen the principles of gender equality,” the statement read.
