ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Moscow, which claimed the lives of over 100 individuals and left 140 others injured, global leaders express solidarity and condemnation. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) swiftly condemned the heinous act, emphasizing its unwavering stance against terrorism.

KRG Interior Minister Reber Ahmed conveyed condolences on behalf of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani during a visit to the Russian Consulate General in Erbil. "We as the Kurdistan Regional Government have an unchanging stance against terrorism," Minister Ahmad reiterated to Kurdistan24 on Monday.

Highlighting the broader implications of such attacks, Minister Ahmed stressed that terrorism continues to pose a significant threat globally. "The terrorist attack in Moscow tells us that terrorism is not over," he asserted.

He emphasized the necessity for coordinated efforts and international cooperation to combat terrorism effectively.

The attack, carried out by four gunmen in a concert hall in northern Moscow, sent shockwaves throughout the international community. ISIS claimed responsibility for the assault, prompting swift action from Russian authorities.

President Vladimir Putin was briefed by the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB), who confirmed the arrest of 11 individuals, including four directly involved in the terrorist act.
