ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday thanked the Kurdish people for their resilience, patience, and support for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

The Prime Minister’s remarks came during his attendance at the fast-breaking evening meal with Erbil personalities and residents.

The Prime Minister emphasized that we are committed to resolving the issues in the best interest of the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq while ensuring that the constitutional rights of the people of the Kurdistan Region are not compromised.

He also stated that there have been ongoing attempts to undermine the stability of the Kurdistan Region for a considerable period. “This conspiracy has been executed through various means, and unfortunately, certain hostile viewpoints have managed to influence the Kurdistan Region.”

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister urged all parties to set aside their party and personal interests.

" Iraq is a wealthy country; however, its revenues and assets have not been effectively managed. With proper management, Iraq could become one of the most developed countries in the Middle East," Barzani added and noted, “We intend to foster peaceful coexistence with all our fellow citizens in Iraq and to respect the rights of all communities.”

The premier emphasized that we will not give up any constitutional rights of the Kurdish people. Our issues extend beyond just salaries; we face challenges related to our identity and territorial concerns.

Finally, the Prime Minister announced that tomorrow the KRG Council of Ministers will make a decision that will benefit all the Kurdish people.
