ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - In a bid to strengthen ties and advocate for linguistic diversity, the leader of Turkey's New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi), Fatih Erbakan, is set to visit the Kurdistan Region following the conclusion of Ramadan. This announcement was made by Mehmet Altınöz, the Istanbul mayoral candidate of the party and its deputy leader.

Altınöz emphasized the importance of nurturing relationships with neighboring regions, stating, "The happiness of our neighbors is our happiness, and their sorrows are our sorrows. We have brothers in the Kurdistan Region, and we have good relations with them."

Under Fatih Erbakan 's leadership, the New Welfare Party has actively engaged with political parties and officials in the Kurdistan Region, fostering diplomatic ties and mutual understanding. Altınöz affirmed that this engagement will continue and deepen with the upcoming visit.

"After Ramadan, our president, Fatih Erbakan, will visit the Kurdistan Region. We are often invited there," Altınöz revealed, underscoring the significance of the trip in furthering cooperation and dialogue.

Furthermore, Altınöz highlighted the party's commitment to upholding human rights and linguistic rights within Turkey. He stressed the need for a comprehensive policy to safeguard all languages in the country, stating, "If there is a shortcoming in the field of human rights in Turkey, we must all monitor this shortcoming. Turkey must have its own policy on the languages in Turkey. All our languages must be protected and educated with the support of the state."

Turkey's New Welfare Party 's proactive stance on linguistic rights reflects a broader commitment to inclusivity and cultural preservation. As Fatih Erbakan prepares for his visit to the Kurdistan Region, expectations are high for constructive discussions and initiatives aimed at fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between Turkey and its Kurdish neighbors.
