Iraqi government coalition convenes to address Khor Mor attack, other key issues

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The state administration coalition of the Iraqi government is set to convene to discuss the recent attack on the Khor Mor gas field among other pressing matters. Concurrently, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is expected to arrive in Baghdad this evening.

The Iraqi government's state administration coalition has announced plans to hold a meeting to address various topics, including the appointment of the Iraqi parliament speaker, the drone strike on the Khor Mor gas field, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)'s involvement in parliamentary elections, and other pertinent issues.

Scheduled to attend the meeting is Kurdistan Region’s President Nechirvan Barzani, who also serves as Vice President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

Following the coalition meeting, reports obtained by Kurdistan24 indicate that President Nechirvan Barzani will hold separate discussions with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

Furthermore, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), led by Awat Sheikh Janab, Minister of Finance and Economy, is slated to embark on a visit to Baghdad on Saturday evening.

The delegation will commence meetings with officials from the Federal Ministry of Finance starting tomorrow.

This diplomatic engagement underscores ongoing efforts to address critical issues and foster cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government of Iraq.
