Kurdistan Region civil servants have right to receive their salaries, says Fatah Alliance leader

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Hadi al-Amiri, the leader of the Fatah Alliance, on Sunday announced in a press conference that Kurdistan Region civil servants have the right to receive their salaries like all other Iraqi civil servants.

The Fatah Alliance leader's remarks came after he met with Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani.

Al-Amiri also said that these meetings are very important to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government.

Regarding the Kurdistan Region parliamentary election, he stated "Ultimately, it is up to the Kurdistan Region president to decide whether or not to hold the elections; however, negotiations have continued to agree on a date with all political parties' consent.”
