Şivan Perwer to have a concert in Erbil

Kurdish singer Şivan Perwer told Kurdistan24 that he has agreed with a cultural and artistic institution to hold a concert in Erbil, the Kurdistan Region, and intends to prepare for his concert in the near future.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On Saturday, Kurdish singer Şivan Perwer announced that he will hold a concert in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region, in the near future and release several new songs.

Kurdish singer Şivan Perwer told Kurdistan24 that he has agreed with a cultural and artistic institution to hold a concert in Erbil, the Kurdistan Region, and intends to prepare for his concert in the near future.

He also told Kurdistan24 that he will release several new songs and collect them in an album during the project.

Şivan Perwer highlighted that they have reached an agreement with a number of universities around the world to hold a concert after the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

A group of musicians who have accompanied Şivan Perwer in several artistic festivals will also join him for the upcoming concert and project.

“I planned my art project after visiting the cognitive art center and seeing paintings, art halls, artistic activities such as music, Maulani dance and dozens of beautiful works and projects in this cultural and intellectual center. That's why I decided to do an extensive artistic work, which, hopefully, could do service to Kurdish art in general,” he said.

Şivan Perwer is a well-known Kurdish artist, poet, singer, composer, writer, musical teacher, and performer of “tembûr”. He is also internationally recognized.

Known for his songs that have national themes, he has always sought to encourage the Kurdish nation to fight for its rights.

“The Kurds, like all the other nations, have our own culture and literature and we are proud of it,” Perwer said.

“Singers should have their nation benefit from the songs they sing,” he said
