Kurdistan PM congratulates Erbil soccer team on Iraqi league win

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday congratulated the Erbil soccer team after a home game victory in the Iraqi Premier Football League.

Erbil FC faced off against the Basra-based Al-Mina'a club, taking a three-nil win in the league's 20th round matches Wednesday evening at the Franso Hariri Football Stadium in the Kurdistan Region capital.

After the game, Barzani spoke with Erbil FC president Walid 'Areb and congratulated the team on their victory.

Erbil FC has won five out of the last six matches and ranks twelfth in the Iraqi Premier Football League with 24 points.
