ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Friday said that they seized a substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition in the village of Olus near Shadadi. These weapons were intended for use in planning attacks on joint US-SDF bases in Shadadi.

“These weapons were confirmed to be intended for use in targeting our people and joint bases in the al-Shaddadi (Shadadi) town with an attempt to undermine the security and stability of the region through indiscriminate shelling,” the SDF said.

Since Oct. 19, the SOHR documented 88 attacks carried out by Iranian-backed armed groups on Coalition bases in different areas across Syria amidst the escalating war between Hamas and Israel in Gaza.
