KDP President Masoud Barzani receives late Peshraw Dizayee’s family

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani on Monday received Roj Peshraw Dizayee, son of the late Peshraw Dizayee and Abdullah Majid Dizayee, brother of Peshraw Dizayee, in Erbil’s Pirmam district, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.

KDP President Barzani wished Roj and those injured in the missile attack on Erbil safety and good health during the meeting.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Jan. 15 night targeted the private residence of renowned Kurdish businessman Dizayee during a family gathering in Erbil, where he was killed along with his daughter and two other guests. Six others were wounded in the attack.

The US, UK, and United Nations strongly condemned the attacks, which were the second of their kind by the IRGC on private residences in Erbil, with the last such instance occurring at the site of a prominent Kurdish oil tycoon in 2021.

On Feb. 12, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani visited the family of the late Peshraw Dizayee in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
