KDP Politburo member, UNAMI official reiterate their position on latest political developments

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Hemin Hawrami, member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Politburo, on Thursday received Manoj Mathew Director of the UNAMI Office of Political Affairs, in Erbil’s Pirmam district.

Both sides reiterated their position on the latest political developments.

“KDP is always with free and fair elections away from politicized, unconstitutional ruling of federal court. We are not submitting list of candidates to an election based on unconstitutional & political ruling of an unconstitutional Federal court,” Hawrami wrote on his X profile.

KDP President Masoud Barzani on Wednesday received British Ambassador to Iraq Stephen Charles Hitchen in Erbil’s Pirmam in which they discussed the Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections.

KDP Political Bureau in a statement on March 13 said that they "refrain from justifying unconstitutional and undemocratic elections.”
