WASHINGTON, United States (Kurdistan24) – In a recent interview, a US Congressman said that the United States’ nuclear deal with Iran was a “disaster,” and that Iran is building a bomb as a result.

Ted Yoho, a US Congressman representing Florida’s third congressional district, told Kurdistan24 that Barack Obama’s negotiations with Iran had given the Tehran government “everything they wanted.”

“If you look at the Iran nuclear deal, that is a disaster of a negotiation,” he said. “They are going to get a bomb out of this.”

Despite the US’ knowledge of the country’s misconduct, the Congressman pointed to Iran’s nuclear history and said that the deal was allowed to go through regardless.

He added that Iran is overstepping boundaries of the agreement and developing intermediate ballistic missiles that are used “to launch a nuclear weapon.”

Yoho also pointed to the fact that Iran was caught buying nuclear technology and material from Germany despite the current deal with the US.

Moreover, the Congressman addressed the upcoming US presidential elections and said the difference between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is like “night and day.”

Yoho explained that Clinton was responsible for the no-fly zone in Libya that led to the fall of then leader Muammar Gaddafi.

He added that Gaddafi’s absence allowed the Islamic State (IS) to “set up training and recruiting camps unchecked.”

Yoho stated that Clinton’s handling of foreign policy is heedless and could pose a threat to the US.

“That kind of foreign policy is reckless; it’s reckless endangerment,” he said.

“It puts not just the Middle East in danger, but it does it around the world, it’s destabilized the world,” Yoho concluded.
