KRG publishes Deloitte-verified report on oil exports and revenue for first three quarters of 2020

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has just released a report conducted by Deloitte, a major US audit, accounting, and consulting firm, on its oil sector. The new report details the Region’s oil production, consumption, exports, and revenues for the first, second, and third quarters of 2020.

The KRG released the information related to its oil production in a statement that was posted to its website on Friday, which explained that the “Regional Council of Oil and Gas Affairs has published a report containing verified statistics covering the Kurdistan Region’s oil exports, consumption and revenues for the period 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2020.”

The statement added that the KRG welcomes “the positive feedback from stakeholders, including the international community.” It affirmed that as “transparency is central to the cabinet agenda, the KRG regularly assesses what additional disclosures would enhance the transparency of its oil and gas sector.”

The KRG reiterated “its commitment to the people of Kurdistan that the two international audit firms, Deloitte and Ernst & Young, will continue to independently review the oil and gas sector, inclusive of all streams.”
