"The area has been bombed; there are civilian houses, and the drone is still flying in the village's sky. Therefore, we cannot ascertain the extent of the loss in terms of both life and property,” Bahjat told Kurdistan 24.

Also, unidentified drones on early Wednesday hit targets at Tutaqal village twice in the Kurdistan Region’s Chamchamal district in the Slemani province, where the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants are suspected to have a presence.

Turkey has stepped up drone strikes in Syria and the Kurdistan Region, after 12 Turkish soldiers were killed last week in clashes with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has persisted since 1984.

Unofficial reports suggest that over 40,000 individuals lost their lives in the hostilities between the two parties.
