ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein told Kurdistan24 that Iraq is not in a dangerous situation and there may be another round of talks between the US and Iraq in Washington.

“The talks between the Iraqi and US High Military Committees are continuing, and we will make our decision based on the outcomes of these discussions,” the Iraqi Foreign Minister added.

Earlier on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Feb 16, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani met with US Vice President Kamala Harris and urged the continuation of talks through the Joint High Committee to end the international coalition's mission in Iraq.

The Pentagon had previously announced that it had not received any official request from Iraq regarding the withdrawal of its troops.

It is the same parties that came to power after 2003 with the arrival of the United States that are calling for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.
