President Barzani strongly condemns terrorist attacks in Tehran

In a statement on Wednesday, President of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani condemned the “terrorist” attacks in Tehran.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – In a statement on Wednesday, President of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani condemned the “terrorist” attacks in Tehran.

Barzani expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Iran.

“Terror is the mutual enemy of everyone in the region, and they stand against all religious and human values,” he stated.

Barzani also noted that combating terror is the duty of all countries, saying the Kurdistan Region people are also the victims of terror and is at the forefront in the fight against jihadists.

“I hope terror will be eradicated with the cooperation of all, and that the region and the entire world will be free from this barbaric enemy,” he concluded.

On Wednesday morning, a group of gunmen attacked the Iranian parliament and shrine of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini. About 60 people were reported dead and injured.
