Kurdistan Christmas Festival Erbil Erbil International Fair

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Region’s capital Erbil has officially inaugurated the Christmas Festival, which hosts various food brands, concerts, and dances.

The Erbil International Fair (EIF) officially inaugurated the festival on Tuesday night in the presence of the Erbil governor and head of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Board of Investment.

The festival will include 60 food stands as well as booths that sell various commodities.

Live music concerts will be held every night throughout the festival.

The festival organizers have been inspired by the “European Christmas festival” celebrations, Kochar Younis, the head of the EIF administration, told Kurdistan 24.

This is the first year for the Fair organizer to host such a festival.

The markets remain open for visitors for six hours every day, starting at 6:00 PM until midnight.

December 25 is a public holiday in the Kurdistan Region, per the KRG 2023 calendar.
