ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Hawar Theater Group from Kirkuk is participating in the sixth edition of the Carthage International Monodrama Festival in Tunisia with its monodrama called Salma.

"We, as Hawar Theater Group, will participate in the festival with performances of Salma in 15 countries. In addition to this performance, we will present a workshop,” Najad Najm, director of the monodrama, told Kurdistan24.

“The monodrama is a joint work between Kurdistan and France and discusses the tragedy of Halabja, genocide, the Anfal tragedy, and mass migrations of Kurds. We are delighted that the monodrama has been invited to the International Festival of Carthage and hope that we will receive an award,” Najm added.

Salma is written by Dilshad Mustafa, and directed by Najm, starring Hawar Faris and Aurélie Imbert, a French actress.
