KRG to decrease its ministries to 10
The statement further highlighted that the three governmental positions including Department of Foreign Relations, Board of Investment, and Directorate of Board of Tourism will no longer be considered ministries.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced Tuesday on its official website that the number of its ministries will decrease from 19 to 10.
The statement further highlighted that the three governmental positions including Department of Foreign Relations, Board of Investment, and Directorate of Board of Tourism will no longer be considered ministries.
Additionally, the statement pointed out that KRG will rely on a "single window or one- stop shop business model" to facilitate trading in Kurdistan Region, without further explaining the economic system.
Presidency of the Divan of the Council of Ministers, Nechirvan Ahmed stated, "Radical economic reforms are essential for reorganizing the Kurdistan Region otherwise no changes will be beneficial."
Ahmed highlighted significant factors that will make the reforms possible including electing competent people, taking advantage of the most advanced technologies available, and informing citizens about the details of the economics plan to gain their trust and motivate them to support the processes.
The Presidential Council of Ministers is discussing effective plans and proposals to be implemented as a step toward actualizing economic reforms in the public sector and streamlining government facilities.
Based on the statement, the proposed plans focuses on strategic aspects of organizing governmental institutions' structure in Kurdistan Region.
