'Kurds decide on their independence, not others'

American specialist Harold Rhode believes that "America is shaming" Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after US President Barack Obama recently refused to meet him in Washington.

WASHINGTON, United States (Kurdistan24) - American specialist Harold Rhode believes that "America is shaming" Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after US President Barack Obama refused to meet him in Washington. Rhode discusses Kurdish self-determination and marks Kurdish unity essential for being successful in declaring independence.

Rhode worked for 28 years in the Pentagon as a Middle East analyst. He has traveled and studied in many regional countries including Egypt, Israel, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. He speaks Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Turkish at varying levels.
