PM Barzani to attend 2024 World Economic Forum in Davos

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is scheduled to meet with world leaders at the event.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is set to participate in the 2024 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting taking place from January 15 to 19 in Switzerland's Davos. 

Moreover, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani will also join the Davos forum.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is scheduled to meet world leaders at the event.

Last year at the Davos Forum, PM Masrour Barzani also discussed economic diversification, improving banking services, discovering new markets for Kurdish agricultural produce, investments in renewable energy, oil, gas, and minerals as well as combating the consequences of climate change and drought.

Furthermore, this year through the platform of the Kurdish House initiative, the Kurdistan Region aims to actively promote investment and advocate for economic prosperity within the region and Iraq as a whole. 

“Positioned as a central investment hub, the Kurdish House in Davos plays a central role in cultivating international relations, facilitating trade, and laying the groundwork for enhanced developmental opportunities across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq,” the Kurdish House in Davos said in a press release.

The Kurdish House in Davo also aims to showcase the untapped potential and cultural richness of the Kurdistan Region.
