Kurdistan Region is a ‘window’ into understanding the whole region, says US professor
Row’s remarks came during an official visit to Kurdistan24 headquarters in Erbil along with graduate students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Thomas Row, head of the history department of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, on Wednesday told Kurdistan24 that "The Kurdistan Region is a very interesting window into understanding the region as a whole.”
Row’s remarks came during an official visit to Kurdistan24 headquarters in Erbil along with graduate students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
“Every year we come with young graduate students to visit the Kurdistan Region and we have meetings with important officials, we visit civil society and archaeological sites. As part of that trip we’re visiting Kurdistan24,” the professor said.
He also stated that he found Kurdistan24 “very interesting,” and indicated that he is an avid reader of the Kurdistan24 website.
“I watch it [Kurdistan24] every day,” he noted and added “Kurdistan24 news is very positive. I look at it to find out what’s going on in Kurdistan.”
Furthermore, Row emphasized that the Kurdistan Region is “relatively free,” and praised its religious diversity.
