KDP is prepared for free and fair election, says KDP President Masoud Barzani
He hopes that the political parties in the Kurdistan Region will work towards safeguarding and enhancing the Kurdistan Region while upholding the will of the Kurdish people and the region's best interests.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – During his meeting with French Ambassador Patrick Durel, on Tuesday Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani said that the KDP is prepared at all times for a free and fair election, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.
The French Ambassador to Iraq expressed pleasure in establishing a dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad to resolve issues. He also stated that France would always remain supportive of the Kurdish people. Durel emphasized that his country views dialogue as the most effective means to resolve disputes between Erbil and Baghdad and political issues in the Kurdistan Region.
KDP President Masoud Barzani expressed his appreciation for France's historic role in supporting the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people at all stages. He also pointed to the struggle and sacrifices made by the Kurdish people in their pursuit of freedom, sovereignty, and national rights, while rejecting discrimination and oppression. President Barzani firmly believed that the budget and financial entitlements of the Kurdistan Region were a natural right for the Kurdish people and should not be exploited as a political tool against the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, he expressed his support for the ongoing dialogue between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government.
Regarding the parliamentary elections, President Barzani emphasized that the KDP is prepared at all times for a free and fair election that accurately reflects the true desire of its voters. Communities will be able to express their will and cast their votes without encountering any pre-planned, legal, or technical obstacles. He hopes that the political parties in the Kurdistan Region will work towards safeguarding and enhancing the Kurdistan Region while upholding the will of the Kurdish people and the region's best interests.
