KRG Council of Ministers discuss situation of Kurdish territories outside Kurdistan Region control
The Council of Ministers called for normalizing the situation in the Kurdish territories outside Kurdistan Region control and ending the military situation imposed on these areas.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers. Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani was also in attendance.
The first part of the meeting, hosted by Fahmi Burhan, the head of the Kurdistan Region's board for disputed territories, presented a detailed report on the current situation in the Kurdish territories outside Kurdistan Region control.
In his remarks, Burhan outlined all the challenges and unconstitutional practices that these Kurdish areas are experiencing due to Arabization, the occupation of agricultural lands, and the expulsion of Kurdish citizens.
Prime Minister Barzani congratulated the head of the Board and all board members for preparing this comprehensive and informative report and providing facts about the difficult situation in these areas. In addition, he expressed gratitude for the Kurds' resistance, patience, and patriotic attitude in Kurdish territories outside Kurdistan Region control. He stressed that the Kurdistan Region would not surrender these Kurdish territories and demanded that the violations and issues in these areas be resolved.
The Council of Ministers called for normalizing the situation in the Kurdish territories outside Kurdistan Region control and ending the military situation imposed on these areas, as well as any violations and aggression against the citizens of these areas to resolve disputes and issues within the framework of the constitution.
The second item was the presentation of a report on the tables attached to the Federal General Budget Law for 2025-2024, which was approved at the extraordinary meeting of the Federal Council of Ministers on 19/5/2024. The report was presented by Awat Janab Noori, Minister of Finance and Economy, and the negotiating delegation.
The Prime Minister stressed that all ministries should continue to coordinate with the Iraqi Ministry of Finance to pay the salaries of the region and the list of civil servants should be sent to the Iraqi government.
