PM Masrour Barzani, Ammar al-Hakim discuss resolving issues in Baghdad meeting

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Masrour Barzani, held a meeting in Baghdad with Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Al-Hikma National Movement.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on the political and general situation in Iraq, as well as the ongoing efforts to resolve outstanding problems between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government.
They agreed on the importance of addressing controversial issues fundamentally based on the constitution, ensuring the preservation of the rights of the people of Kurdistan and all Iraqi components.
The discussions highlighted a mutual commitment to finding radical solutions that benefit all citizens within Iraq's federal framework.
During his series of meetings in Baghdad, the Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister Barzani held discussions with several prominent figures, including Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law coalition, Abdul-Sada al-Fariji, Secretary-General of the Iraqi Nahj Alliance, Acting Speaker of Parliament Mohsen al-Mandalawi, Faleh al-Fayaz head of Popular Mobilization Force (PMF), the Chairman of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council Fayeq Zedan, Khamis al-Khanjar the leader of Sunni Sovereignty Alliance, Qais al-Khazzali, the secretary general of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq militia, Hadi al-Amiri, the secretary general of the Badr Organization, and Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassem al-Araji.
