ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - On Friday, May 31, 2024, the city of Zakho hosted the "Endless Steps" Marathon, sponsored by Kurdistan24.
The event welcomed participants of all ages from across the Kurdistan Region, aiming to unite citizens and showcase the beauty of Zakho.
The marathon was open to everyone, with extensive facilitations provided for the participants.
Citizens from various cities and towns in Kurdistan registered for the event, highlighting its widespread appeal and inclusive nature.
According to the organizers, the primary objective of the marathon was to draw people from all over the Kurdistan Region to Zakho, allowing them to experience the city's charm and hospitality.
Over 6,600 individuals registered for the marathon, and by 10 am on the day of the event, more than 4,000 participants were present, ready to take part in the race.
The "Endless Steps" Marathon not only promoted physical activity but also fostered a sense of community and regional pride, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the spirit of Kurdistan.
